General Terms Of Use

All content and works of the sia media database are protected by the copyright of sia Abrasives Industries AG. Third parties, hereinafter referred to as “Users”, must acknowledge the following conditions to legally use the content on websites, in databases, print or other media:
- The User shall only use the media items provided in the database for their own commercial purposes to advertise sia products online and/or in print media. Passing the material on to third parties is not permitted.
- The presentation of the websites and media (online/offline) on which the media items are used must meet the standard of quality and comply with the brand image and brand strategy of sia Abrasives. Media of sia Abrasives Industries AG must comply with the sia style guide and/or all design guidelines.
If the media items are not used in the agreed manner, sia Abrasives
expressly reserves the right to prohibit the User from continuing to
use it at any time. Unauthorised use will be treated by sia Abrasives
as a violation of copyright, and appropriate legal action may be taken
as a result.

By agreeing to the “Terms of use” on the sia media database and by accessing it, you agree to the provisions of this contract and accept that you are bound by them.
sia Abrasives reserves the right the amend the provisions of this contract completely or in part at any time. Such amendments shall come into force as soon as the users have been notified of them or as soon as they have been published here. By continuing to use the sia media database after such amendments have come into force, you shall have accepted and acknowledged the amended provisions of this contract.
All rights to these media items, with the exception of the rights of use described here, shall be held exclusively by sia Abrasives Industries AG. The download shall only entitle the user to the rights of use listed below.
Rights of use
The use of all available media items shall only be valid if it complies with our design guidelines (sia style guide) and all valid regulations.
All of the media items made available may only amended and/or retouched if written approval has been issued by the PT-AC/MKB4 department.
The distribution of images to third parties (e.g. retailers) shall be authorised. However, the image data made available must only be used in communication pertaining to the sia Abrasives brand and/or products.
1. Duration of use
All images and media items may be used without time limitation.
sia Abrasives reserves the right to block at its own discretion the User account for the sia media database at any time and for an indefinite duration or to completely revoke the rights of use.
2. Restrictions of use
All images and media objects must not be used
- for the purpose of illicit activities
- in a pornographic context
· in a manner which humiliates and degrades humans and animals
· in a manner which disadvantages sia Abrasives (e.g. usage for competitor products)
3. Royalties
The images and media items made available are free of charge to download and use. Reselling a picture is not permitted.
4. Unlawful use of images and media items
The User must prove to sia Abrasives that the image material or media item has been used lawfully (e.g. specimen copies, screenshots) when requested to do so by sia Abrasives. In the event of unauthorised use or distribution of data and in the event of copyright infringements, sia Abrasives Industries AG reserves the right to take legal action. Any further compensation claims and further legal action shall not be covered by this and shall be expressly reserved.
5. Transfer of rights
The rights of use are non-transferable.
Your credentials for the sia media database must not be sold, nor must they be transferred to another natural person or legal entity by any other means.
6. Compensation
You hereby accept that you shall indemnify, defend and hold sia Abrasives harmless with regard to all claims, costs (including legal fees) or other liability cases resulting from the violation of any representations, warranties or obligations by you or any usage of the website (including usage via your User account or User name, whether authorised by you or not) in accordance with this contract, including but not limited to claims or actions arising from the violation of intellectual property rights, slander, defamation or any other insult, violation of the individual's right to privacy, violation of the right to one's own image or due to
"misleading presentation" or misrepresentation, distortion or modification of works or other materials or content, whether intentional or otherwise.
7. Place of jurisdiction, applicable law
The place of jurisdiction shall be the location of the headquarters of sia Abrasives Industries AG in Frauenfeld/Switzerland. sia Abrasives shall, however, be entitled to arraign the orderer at his/her place of residence or business. Swiss law shall apply exclusively.
